Fabric Reimagined

One-of-a-Kind Art for Your Home

In a world filled with busyness and technology I seek to elevate simplicity. Seeing the world through a series of patterns, I utilize recycled, vintage and hand dyed cloth to tell stories that celebrate life. The textural layering of the cloth and my hand drawn sketches are an effort to break through the chatter of life and offer opportunity to get lost in a sea of color and texture. The result is joy for your walls.

So much available art is emotion neutral; when you see it you feel nothing. It may be pretty or go with your couch, but does not evoke an emotion.  That is the opposite of my goal as an artist. I aspire to create art that brings joy, evokes memories and lifts your spirits. If it doesn’t brighten your day just to see it, then you will know a piece is not for you. Let's discus making the perfect piece for your space.

About Me

I am a storyteller who shares my tales using cloth as the visual imagery. When people see my work I want them to feel and connect with the story. Through memory and imagination, I create images that tap into our collective humanity. We are all messy edges and frayed seams, using cloth as my palette was a natural choice. Our imperfections and frailty make us uniquely ourselves. I love the paradox that often beauty is found in simplicity. My themes are deceptively simple. I tell stories of joy, passion, peace, walks in the woods and juicy pears on the table. For me these are literally the fiber of who we are and what we are inspired by.      - Sharon
